The area of hair to be transplanted is then grafted onto the scalp with sutures to close it. Generally, these closing sutures can be either staples or stitches and typically you will have them removed about less than two weeks after the initial surgery has been completed. Sometimes special type of stitches that can dissolve can be used on the sutures as well.

This remains to be the most popular method of transplanting hair mostly because it can be half the price of a full FUE procedure. This type of transplant also allows for larger areas of hair and grafts to be moved and more balding space can be covered per session of the transplant surgery.
